I am going to make this short and sweet, literally! Why is it so many bloggers need to tell you their life story before giving you the recipe?!
Our family is currently on a journey of being more mindful of our waste and finances. I had some limes leftover from Cinco Demayo. As much as I LOVE Aldi, I prefer not purchasing a whole bag of lemons or limes, when I only need a couple. I am not happy I did buy a whole bag. It finally hit me that I could make limeade! The recipe I found called more more limes than I had, so I made a few adjustments myself.
-1/2 Cup Lime Juice
-1/2 Cup Sugar
-2.5 Cups of Water (I chose filtered for a more crisp taste)
-2 to 3 Strawberries
-Mason Jar (I used an up cycled pasta sauce jar)
-Patience ( I honestly wanted to drink this ASAP)
Juice your limes until you have 1/2 cup of lime juice. In the mean time, take 1 cup of water and boil with 1/2 cup of sugar. Once sugar water mixture boils, stir until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat. Pour your lime juice into the mason jar. Pour iyour sugar/water mixture into the jar (Do this slowly if pouring into glass to avoid any possible cracking). Add the remaining water to the jar. Close the jar and give a shake. Add your cut up strawberries to the jar. Give another shake. Keep in the refrigerator overnight! (Trust me resist the temptation!)
